6 Rottie
7 Akita
8 Newfoundland
9 Dalmatian
10 Dogue de Bordeaux

13 Beagle
14 Husky
15 Weimaraner
16 Malamute

I had Great Dane and Bulldog but 22 dogs is kind of off… so I just made it 20.

What is the best hoover for picking up dog hairs?

Question by M: What is the best hoover for picking up dog hairs?
I have three dogue de bordeaux’s and have a green carpet in my living room and you can see their ginger hairs, even when i have just hoovered! I need a good, reliable and powerful hoover! I have tried a henry, but every time i use it, it just gets clogged up and i cant unclog my hoover every time i use it! Ive also been told that dysons are not reliable and break after a couple of months which is pathetic as they cost a fortune! Please help!
I dont want to spend a fortune on a hoover like a dyson that will probably break after 5 mins! I want a hoover that will last!

Best family guarding breed?

dogue de bordeaux
by xenne

Question by Phoebe: Best family guarding breed?
I’ve grown up with Doberman’s (my father bred them) and although I love the breed I find them to be a bit too mad and energetic for our household.
We want to get a dog with guarding instinct as our family pet (with small children). We both love big dogs and are very competent at training and being able to handle a large breed.
I know all about the Doberman, and have looked at the top ten guarding breeds lists – but I need to hear it from real people who’ve owned these breeds.
Rotties, GSD’s, BullMastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux, Great Danes…

Are they good with children?
Would they lay down their life for you, the way a Dobie would?
How energetic are they?
Male or female make a difference?
Thank you for your dog experiences – so interesting to read!

And to that one person (there’s always one!) I didn’t mean literally die for me – in the rare instance anything bad were to happen, its just nice to know your dog would rather die than run off and leave you to get savaged. That’s devotion, and I’d do that for anyone in my family, so I expect my dog to be the same

I have a Doberman, and I find it great that you can admit to yourself the breed is too high energy for your household! So I just wanted to commend you on that :)

From what I hear, GSDs are also high energy, plus you have the shedding from the longer hair they have.

Great Danes are not even close to being a good protection dog! Unless it’s the sheer size that scares someone off.

The rest of them I’m not as familiar with.

What do you think? Answer below!
